The A.V. Club recently published an article about Young Adult dystopian novels focusing on Lois Lowry’s The Giver, and comparing it to the slew of novels recently from that particular genre. The article provides an interesting breakdown of the book, but, more interestingly, mentions that the first direct sequel to The Giver, titled The Giver, Son, will be released this October.
