Satanic Verses author Salman Rushdie’s new memoir Joseph Anton comes out tomorrow, September 18, published by Random House. The book hits shelves at—to the say the least—quite a volatile moment in the debate on free speech and censorship and is likely to polarize opinions once more. A lengthy excerpt of the book was published in last week’s New Yorker, and it has also already been reviewed by the Washington Post and the Wall Street Journal.
