Fast moving preposterous tale of multiple nefarious assassins of which “good” guy master of death the Gray Man is star. It’s a pretty quick read if you want a distraction at the beach or on a plane. This makes 007’s exploits seem a documentary… Take your shot or not… time to reload.

I love the action and intrigue and the constant struggle Court Gentry has with his moral compass. I liked the movie but enjoyed the books much more.

Was looking for a series to replace Reacher. Well written, suspenseful and engaging action. However, got very unbelievable at end no human could continue to function with Gray man’s extensive injuries and bleeding out.

A good read but with at least one really embarrassing error by the author and editor. In chapter 9 it is stated that Luanda is the capital of Botswana when of course it’s the capital of Angola. Really unacceptable error

First, let me tell that I do not normally read this genre. I was intrigued by the title and later the smooth pace of the story. An assassin who stirred up a hornets nest. And this is all I will tell you. Please read “The Gray Man.” You will not be disappointed, nor will you be bored. Enjoy.

Greaney writes tactical and hand-to-hand battle scenes better than any other author. Having read other books in the Gray Man series, I found the plot in this, the series’ first book, far too unbelievable. 12 different hit teams after him in a small part of Europe?! In addition, the accumulation of our hero’s wounds, the last extremely severe, required our suspension of disbelief to finish the book. But, his other books are believable and at the absolute pinnacle of this genre.
