Description

Willow Mayson isn't ready to just dive head first into love, or at least not with any of the men she's dated.

Then she shares a single unexpected kiss with a complete stranger.

Clay Raven doesn't want the strings of a woman tied to him in any way. His priorities are his family, his job, and finding the people responsible for helping to kill his sister.

One kiss shouldn't have the ability to change that.

Even with the chemistry between them, Willow attempts to put distance between her and Clay but the guy is tenacious, until he's not.

For a guy who's never put much effort into any woman, Clay learns quickly that he's going to have to fight, chase, and manipulate his way into Willows life if he wants to be a part of it.

Then just when Willow begins to let her guard down her friend is murdered setting off a string of events that could change the course of their lives forever.

Continuing to love this series! Willow is the daughter of Nico and Sophie and is very independent and enjoys her job at a bank. Confused as to why two strange men are standing by her car one night, she gets another shock when a stranger comes over and pretends to be her boyfriend. Clay has spent his adult life tracking down the men who took his sister from him, and that ends up leading him to Willow. After first meeting, Willow can’t stop thinking about the sparks between them and Clay has decided that she’s it for him. While first hesitant once Willow lets Clay in its game over for them. Throwing in some wild twist and turns in true Aurora Rose Reynolds fashion, the suspense I thought would follow through the entire book in the beginning was forgotten as the book continued, and things get crazier and closer to home for Willow than Clay. Per usual, I was obsessed with this book and love the series. I can’t wait to see which cousin is next to fall! I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

First, I have to say that this book, like all the others, did not disappoint. I love the demanding side of Clay and the stubbornness from Willow. This sorry pulled on heart strings, but also reality, in a beautiful and amazing way.

I loved Willow and Clay together, BUT the story felt unfinished…Willow was obviously being targeted by someone, first the guys that were following her and the tracker that was placed under her car THEN she was obviously drugged and nearly kidnapped from the club…AND none of that was addressed in the conclusion…no one ever find out what was happening there! I thought for sure Carly’s boyfriend was going to have been revealed to be a human trafficker after he said his job was “shipping beautiful things all over the world” and it was after HIS friends went to get more drinks that she lost all memory of what happened that night! None of that was ever resolved or explained…disappointing :/

I received a complimentary early release e-book prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review. Willow was an awesome character. She is a great friend and she is Nico's daughter. She meets Clay when he saves her from some guys who plant a tracking device on her car. He then meets her again when she is drugged at a nightclub. If you are thinking trouble follows her, well you would not be wrong. Clay falls into insta lust with Willow but he doesn't do relationships. Meeting Willow really changes him as he falls hard for him and he her. I felt this book was very different from the authors other books in the series as this is a very suspenseful story. Its hot and romantic but from the very first page there is a mystery about the guys trying to track Willow to the almost kidnapping and then Willow's friend goes missing. This was a wonderful story and I really enjoyed it. It was a story that I could not put down and my heart broke a bit for Willow. Clay is a really good guy with a sad past and I loved how Willow in his life really changed him and made him a better guy.
