A TikTok sensation! Sparks fly when a competitive figure skater and hockey team captain are forced to share a rink.

Anastasia Allen has worked her entire life for a shot at Team USA. It looks like everything is going according to plan when she gets a full scholarship to the University of California, Maple Hills and lands a place on their competitive figure skating team.

Nothing will stand in her way, not even the captain of the hockey team, Nate Hawkins.

Nate’s focus as team captain is on keeping his team on the ice. Which is tricky when a facilities mishap means they are forced to share a rink with the figure skating team—including Anastasia, who clearly can’t stand him.

But when Anastasia’s skating partner faces an uncertain future, she may have to look to Nate to take her shot.

Sparks fly, but Anastasia isn’t worried…because she could never like a hockey player, right?

There’s a little bit of everything in this one, which I love! Recently I’ve been into the hockey troupe so this one took it to another level. Great for teenagers and young adults! Some really steamy scenes but also lots of heartfelt and deep scenes that speak so much to relationships and society as a whole. Such a fun read, can’t wait for the next one!
  • Predictable

If you like thinking it will happen and then reading it the next sentence, this is the book for you. Half of the book could have been eliminated if you took out the mirroring inner monologue.

I have to say this book was fantastic! The characters in this book was described so well! I have to say Aaron was getting on my nerves throughout the whole book but that what brings this book to life. Anastasia and Nathan’s romance was so cute and romantic. Anastasia being grumpy and Nathan being a sunshine. I’m so happy with the ending of this book! Can’t wait for the second book in the Maple Hills series!!! -Kierra Brice🩷

It’s cute and good, but like 5 times throughout reading, I had to check how much was left because it just kept going without an end in sight. It fizzled out for me before I even finished it. I still liked the writing and the story but yeah…
  • Not this one *spoilers*

I probably read about 6-8 books a month and this is one that I could barely get through. Very drawn out, boring and predictable. Was very hard to finish. She has commitment issues but pretty much commits within the first 150 pages and the rest is just them playing house. If you wanted a follow up book after reading The Deal this does not give you what you want unless you just want rare hockey references. Some spice I guess but you better like the phrase “ good girl” 🤢🤮

Ik we just started 2023 but this is definitely one that I could go back a reread any time or one that I could go back and read parts that always caught my eye. 1) Enemies to Lovers will forever be one of my favorite tropes and this is the definition of enemies to lovers 2)Nathan raised my standard, he's the greenest of green flags and I loved Stas for using communication and teaching Nathan to use it. It really helped when there was conflict between the two.
